Privacy policy
Last updated13 October 2026
Forás ("we", "us") is the consulting and agency arm of Market Entry Secrets, based in Sydney. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we hold it, and how you can access or correct it.
It covers visitors to foras.com.au, people who book a call or contact us, the people we work with at our clients, and the business contacts we reach on our clients' behalf.
Foras Pty Ltd, ABN 65 702 991 848, ACN 702 991 848
What we collect
When you book a call or contact us
Your name, work email, company website, time zone, and anything you choose to tell us about your sales or market entry plans.
When you use the site
Pages viewed, time on page, the link that brought you here, your browser and device type, and an approximate location from your IP address.
Cookies
We measure how people use the site without cookies, so we show no cookie banner.
When you work with us
The names, roles and contact details of the people we work with at a client, the access you give us to your systems, and our notes from meetings and calls.
When we contact you for a client
Your name, role, employer, work email and phone number, your professional profile, and public information about your company. We find these on company websites, professional networks and public registers, and through business data providers that supply verified work contact details.
Calls
When we record or transcribe a call, we say so at the start, and you can ask us not to.
How we use it
- To arrange and hold the call you booked, and follow up afterwards
- To answer your questions and deliver services you engage us for
- To contact people whose business role fits a client's brief, on that client's behalf
- To understand which pages help visitors and which do not, and improve the site
- To meet our legal obligations
We use AI tools for company research and first drafts of messages. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Outreach for our clients
When we run outreach for a client, the client sets the brief, and we contact people whose business role fits it, about matters that relate to that role. Every email we send says who it is from and gives you a way to opt out.
If you opt out, we stop contacting you for that client and add your email address to a suppression list so it stays that way. Ask us and we will stop contacting you for any client, and tell you where we found your details.
We share your replies and the details of any meeting with the client we contacted you for. The client's own privacy policy also applies to what it holds.
Scoring and automated decisions
Software helps us score which companies and roles fit a client's brief, and the score decides who we contact and in what order. We do not use computer programs to make decisions that could significantly affect your rights or interests, such as decisions about credit, employment or access to services.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the client a contact relates to, and with services that help us run the site and our work, under their own privacy terms:
- Cal.com, our booking tool
- Attio, our CRM, where your booking and our notes are kept
- PostHog, for site analytics
- Lovable, for hosting
- Microsoft 365, for email and documents
- The email, data, research and AI services we run for each client
Ask us and we will send you the current list of services.
Forás and Market Entry Secrets are related businesses. We do not share your enquiry or booking details with Market Entry Secrets.
We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
Where we store it
Our email and documents are stored in Australia. Some of the services above store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States and the European Union, and the tools we run for a client may use providers in other countries. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Keeping it safe
We use access controls, encrypted connections and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep only what we need and delete it when we no longer need it for the purpose we collected it for.
We keep enquiry and booking records for 2 years after our last contact, and client records for 7 years after an engagement ends. Contact details we hold for a client's outreach are deleted or returned to the client within 90 days of the engagement ending, apart from the suppression list. We keep call recordings and transcripts for 12 months, and site analytics for 14 months. After that we delete the information.
If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it
- Ask where we found your details, and stop any outreach from us
- Ask us a general question without giving your name
- Stop site analytics with your browser's privacy settings or a content blocker
Email stephen@foras.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we do not charge for a request.
UK and European visitors
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, data protection law there also applies. We rely on our legitimate interests to run the site and to contact people in business roles about their work, on our contract to deliver services to clients, and on your consent where the law requires it.
You can also ask us to restrict how we use your information, to give it to you in a portable format, or to stop using it, and you can object to direct marketing at any time. Where a provider is outside your country, safeguards such as standard contractual clauses protect your information. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Children and changes
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
